  • How can I make FL Studio vst plugins work in Sonar X3

I tried to copy FL Studio ".dll" files to Sonar vst folder but they are not detected. I don't need instruments but would like to have FL effects in my Sonar.

Most of their plugs are linked to fl studio and you have to purchase vst versions at additional cost. There is a fl studio plugin that acts like rewire to open fl in any host, including sonar. That's your best bet.

+1 to what swamptooth said. The only type of plugins in fl that you won't find in Sonar are the beat mangler/glitch types like grossbeat. In any case, now that fl is 64 bit, use rewire

You can also use FL Studio as a VST instead of rewire

I had a brief flirtation with FL Studio a while back.  I don't use it any more but the plugins bundle is pretty good.

 Check 3rd party vendors. Some are having a sale on Image Line software.
