Hi To the bakers
Iv had this problem for many years in that the save copy as, and the save as, file dose not work
When you press the down arrows to select it just flickers, very frustrating
I,m running windows 7 64bit ,all drivers and software are up to date
Because of this constant problem i,m unable to save as a bundle file or transfer any projects
Please help

Hi - I am not sure I understand what it is that is not working for you - can you please be more specific with additional detail?
 
Thanks - I just launched Sonar Platinum, opened a project I am about to work on, and clicked on File, then used the down arrows to move down until it was on Save As, and that worked fine.  Then, when the Save As dialog box opened, I clicked on the drop down arrow for Type, and again used the down arrows to select an alternate format, and that too worked.
 
So, it seems what I did above is not what you were referring to, so please provide some additional detail so that I can better understand what your issue is.

There are more than one way to save as. The first is in the file menu the second is a keybinding for it. You could use Shift + S. or any unused binding to do this. Another is use the custom module for this. Bind one of the buttons for save as.
 
However if when you see flickering when you try to use save as it could be either a mouse problem or a graphics problem.  You should not see any flickering.  

I'm not 100% sure I understand the details of the issue correctly, either.
Are you talking about clicking (with the mouse) the down-arrow beside the drop-down window where you can select
Type/file format in the "Save as" -view? Or are you talking about the physical down-arrows of your keyboard, and moving on the list of options?
What is flickering? The whole screen, the file format window, only the arrow...?
 
If I understood correctly, it won't even allow you to move the selection to "Bundle"? If so, my first thought of
this having something to do with Groove clips or Melodyne was wrong. Projects with Groove clips can't be saved as a bundle, and IIRC (I'm not sure) that goes with inserted Melodyne as well (and formerly V-Vocal).
 
 

Yer bob that,s exactly what i,m doing, i,m using the mouse not the keyboard arrows 
And john yes i am aware of the key bindings ,but that will only bring up the dialogue box, you could be right in a
Graphics problem, and Kalle no groove clips or melodyn just wave files

Is this issue related to a single project?
 
Do things work correctly with a dummy test project with maybe no effects and just a single audio track?

Save As will open up a dialog to rename the project. Save simply saves the project and overwrites the old project. Save As creates a new project with a new name. Hence the dialog to type in a new name as well as change the project type if wanted.

Hi Guys done a bit of checking ,on another project it works ok ,but if i play around with it it starts flickering
So looking at the save as box on your screen from top to bottom
Save as arrow wont drop down
File name wont drop down
Save as type wont drop down ,everything else, in the save as box, is working fine
All drivers and sofware are up to date ,no problems anywhere else ,apart from platinum my computer is
Working fine which steers me away from the graphics diver idea
I,m getting the feeling its some sort of glich in sonar its self
