I made quite a few changes to Tungsten before the editor came out and exported it as a .clr. I can't find a way to open it in the editor so that I don't have to redo all the current edits I have. When I open SPLAT using my clr, then open the editor, the editor doesn't show the edits I've made. Please advise - Thanks much, Shep

Mind you, I've only played with the TE very little.
I think that "colors" and "themes" are different things.
I was also curious how one effects the other when editing with the theme editor. It does seem that the TE overwrites the 'colors'.

As far as 'when you open the editor and don't see your colors', my guess is the TE works off one of the two themes available. You didn't change your colors in Tungsten, you changed them in Sonar as far as I can tell. This a big problem I have with the whole color/theme conundrum. as far as I can tell there are like 3 different ways to adjust/change colors in Sonar and it appears that none of them interact with the others. In my mind, that's ridiculous. Probably due to the bloated combobulated mess of code that exists.

Anyway, sorry I don't really have a solution for you.

Hi. Have you tried to change the file type to .sth? Theme Editor uses .sth extension. Make backup before you change name.
All the best.

Ken thanks much sir - it worked to change the file extension, but it won't open in the editor. Here's the massive gobbledygook it spewed in it's displeasure:

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
   This means nothing to me, a no coding knowledge person... So, I still seek a way to work in the editor from my current saved color scheme.

Can you open your modified theme in SONAR after renaming it (.sth)? If so, go to preferences, Customization, Themes and click edit. That should open the editor.
I do not know what this code means.
All the best.

.clr files are not the same as .sth files, therefore the debug message when you try to open a renamed .clr in theme editor.

I've not messed with the Theme Editor but I remember reading that the TE works on the Tungsten theme.  What if you rename your theme to Tungsten?  (of course you'd need to backup your real Tungsten theme first).  Just a thought....

Unfortunately, that gave the same errors, Paul. I'd love to be able to start from where I am and make changes I wanted to but couldn't before now. Well, I still can't - at least not without starting from scratch.
