What is the best or easiest controller to navigate and control session drummer in sonar 6 ? I want to start designing drum tracks with my setup, I like using controllers, not mouse / keyboard , and suggestions? Thanks all !!!

What are you envisioning? Any MIDI controller can be learned (via MIDI learn), and some even have pads for easier drumming input. A keyboard with pads may be the most versatile, but may not be what you have in mind. I am not sure what you want for "navigation" though?

What is your intended budget and use?

Hello, thanks for the quick help, let me see if I can layout the proper info here. I have a Tascam 1884 interface and controller with my sonar 6, I need to record a new CD, music style old school guitar rock. So a keyboard not an issue but I did find an M audio trigger finger, its usb and midi. and an M audio oxygen 49 keyboard/pad, its usb.
I have not used virtual instrument before, but I want to design the drum tracks with the session drummer included with my sonar 6. I have both midi and usb input but not sure what to do from here.  

I think you may already have hardware. It has been a while and on my cell here - I think there were tutorials included with S6, but a quicker thing may be to Google "Using Session Drummer with SONAR 6" Up until 8.5 the interface is pretty similar and there are YouTube videos walking through the setup.
