Please describe what you mean by 32bit vs 64bit? Like are you talking OS, Sonar version, synth/plugin version, etc?

Also... what version of Windows (including 32 or 64bit versions), what version of Sonar (including 32/64 bit version), what synth is causing the issue and provide some extra system specification details (CPU, RAM, HDD/SSD's, audio interface).

What driver mode are you using for Sonar (ASIO, WMD, etc)? Are you using Asio4All or onboard sound?

Just knocking out a few troubleshooting questions so you can get some help.

Cheers.

some 32bit vst wrapped in bitbridge can go out of sync, scmiiw?

you can try the x64 version of the plugin(s), or the 3rd party jbridge wrapper

hth, good luck!

Also some respond better to JBridge 32 to 64 bit VST wrapper (which you have to buy separately/isn't a Cakewalk thing) than to BitBridge (the included wrapper in Sonar that SHOULD work with the included 32 bit synths/plugs because I believe Cake has been testing them and dropping anything that causes serious problems).

If it's a third party synth then JBridge may work better.

However that's getting ahead of things until we know what OP is using, on what and how. Could be a dozens of things causing the problem at this point.

Definitely one of the more likely avenues though.

I think you need to give us the full set up for both 32 bit and 64 bit?

I have been running 64 bit for ages and only had issues when trying to use a couple of 32 bit plugins.  I have since moved to use only 64 bit plugins and my system has been rock solid.

Thank you to all who are offering help!

I was using 64 bit sonar ok with no problem till update.
I have the 32 bit v sonar installed as I need some old plugs that wont load in 64bit. This all seems normal except the soft synths are lagging out of sync in 64 bit.

@Karhide I am not sure what your asking re full set up.

THX!
