I have a very odd situation.  I recently uninstalled some plug-ins I no longer needed.  Now when I load a project a popup window appears warning me about those missing plug-ins.  The project makes no reference to the uninstalled plug-ins.  I’ve have checked all of the tracks/busses; there’s nothing there.  Nada. Is there a way to clean up a project and remove ALL references to non-existent plug-ins???

save the project in its new state. but before that make sure to do a reboot. it is possible settings are being saved in RAM thus giving you this message.
just make sure you have DELETED every plug in on the Missing Plug in pop up.

Make sure you have not hidden any tracks containing the plug-ins.

I had a similar issue and it bugged me for days. Check the synth rack in browser window because when you insert a new instrument track and then delete the track the instrument still remains in synth rack, it will warn you before deletion so you can see if any track still using it.

Hope it helps

Thanks to you all.  I will check out ALL of this.  I'm surprised Cakewalk hasn't created some nifty tool to fix this.

One more question.  How do you unhide (show) a track or bus?

To all,  I found the solution.  The Synth Rack maintains a record of all soft synths used in a project.  When a soft synth is uninstalled, reference to that soft synth is retained in the project. So what I had to do was remove the unused soft synth from the project and save the project.  Voila!

Use the letter H on your keyboard to access Track Manager.

This will list all tracks and you will be able to see which ones are visible and which ones aren't.
You can do this in either Track View or Console View and these is also the option to "Keep track/console visibility states in sync" though I haven't used this for a long time as it was originally a bit flakey, but I also require different visibility states in the 2 views.

Also, pressing Shift + H is a shortcut for displaying all tracks in Track View.
Press Control + Shift + H to hide selected tracks
