I have Sonar X3 Studio, but didn't work much with it (just playing and Recording some songs).
With  the Studio Version comes a lot of Instruments and Plugins, that I don't know how they work, or what they do.
I know, that an "Equilizer" is an Equilizer and an Echo makes an Echo, but some I don't know.
So there are two Plugins called "BlueVerb". But both looking the same and seems to do the same.

And then there are some Synthesizer, I don't know how they work, because it seems, they have no Soundpool. Just like RXP oder Cyclone, where I can't find any Soundpools.

Maybe you know a little Discription of all the Plugins and maybe a "Short-Tutorial" of the Plugins/VSTi

Thanks

Here is some Cakewalk documentation for X3's included plugins, grouped by functionality (type):

I hope the above helps.

Oh, Yeah, that helps a lot, because they are listed by "what they made for". That is very helpfull to arrange the Plugins in the plugin-manager, that I have done yesterday for the instruments and don't know for the plugins :)

I know it may sound tedious, but its a process of learning what each plug in is and does.
it can take months to learn these things. it can take years to master them.
back when I first started there was no google, so I was screwed :-)
now we can look up just about anything.

I think so. But  most I make music, I do it for my own. Just make some music or "play with sounds" and enjoy that sound.
So I use a DAW in 80% just to record my new compositions or as Interface for my Instruements :)

I know the time without Internet. I know times with an Amiga, an MIDI-Interface and an old Casio-Keyboard and "Bars&Pipes Professional".. :D
There was no Internet, right.. But there where very fat printed Manuals, that was in the big boxes.. No "Jewel Case" or "DVD Case" with an short Installation instruction, or maybe just a Download code :D

For Sonar X3 i have an PDF Manual with 2300 Pages.. When I read the first 30 pages, I forgot, what was on the First :D
And much of the Tutorial Videos are in English. I understand much, but not all. And I Use Sonar maybe once at week. Not the best for intensive training. ;)
But I am very happy, if some good guys here help me out, with little questions, and didn't say "Read the Manual" or "Look at google".. I hate that. They right, but a little speech with other people are a little better :D

The reference manual pdf for SONAR has about 2000 pages. So no wonder it doesn't come printed with the product. It would propably double the price :o/
