I just installed Windows 7 x64 and when all was set I lauched sonar and it is running in demo mode...

Offline activation send me to a broken link.

I reinstalled Sonar and control center, no difference.

I can't save so I can't work.

Any suggestion? I contacted support already and still waiting.

Thanks!

Could well be the weather that is affecting how quickly support respond.

Is there any way your DAW could go on line temporarily to activate?

The new Windows install probably changed the registry. You should still be able to enter the S/Ns the old fashioned way from what I've read.

I did a clean install on a new drive and installed every programs once the windows update was finished.

Yes I have access to the internet from my daw, maybe a firewall issue...

I'll look deeper in the old fashioned activation process, so far there's no obvious way to do it.

I'll report back once I've tried

Add Cakewalk as a safe site to your firewall and you should have no problem.  The old way I believe still requires you to be on line or to paste a token code into your software authorisation window.

Well no luck adding the Command center and Sonar Platinum to the firewall exception list.

The manual activation process failed as well, redirected to a broken link.

When I click on the "Sonar is running in demo mode, click here" pop up window when starting Sonar, I'm redirected to a 404 broken link page.

I tried lauching C. Center and Sonar with Administrator rights but no changes.

This is kinda annoying....

Any ideas?

Looks like a problem with Cakewalk servers...

Dyonight,
I experienced the same problem, Platinum started in Demo mode. I think it was solved when I opened the Command Center, highlighted Platinum and on the page clicked the "launch" button. This started Sonar in the regular mode. Platinum was no longer in "Demo" mode. Hope this works for you.

Yesterday I too found Sonar to be in Demo mode, I had to shut down with no ability to save. I opened the Command Center as you did and launched. All has been well so far since.... It would be rough if my internet was down when needed.

Yeah I alos tried to launch Sonar from the command center with administrator rights and it's still in demo mode.

I'm running out of ideas...
