Dyonight and I were able to figure this out offline so I'm marking the thread resolved.
 
Essentially there were two things happening and poor Dyonight was a victim of circumstances.
 
1) There was a refunded order which resulted in the license being pulled my mistake
2) The web page crashed when trying to indicate this was the case
 
Both issues were resolved. Issue #1 was super, super corner case & a result of modifications to Dyonight's account behind the scenes. It's most likely nothing anyone will ever run into, but if you are stuck in demo mode like this, contacting Customer Service is the best way to get it resolved.
 
Issue #2 will be addressed with our next website update.
 
Sorry again for the trouble Dyonight! Thanks for your patience working it out.

So this was a very unique case of licence management and Mr Munis dealed with this in the fastest way possible!
 
That's one of the reasons why I'm still using Sonar after all these years ;)

Hello , I have since my purchase the same problem that has been reported on this post .
I bought the license monthly and immediately canceled to buy full .
I installed via the control center , it remains in demo mode.
I tried with the offline mode, does not work and the link is dead until last updated (since the link works but I still can not activate sonar)
He has one month pending the response of the cakewalk support, sonar active magically , I was happy and able to work .
But for a good week without sonar reason is ironed in demo mode nor the control center or offline mode does work.
I'm in a bind, a project approach next week and my software not working ....

I had the same problem.  For some reason, after perfectly working, I opened it one day and I was in demo mode.  Seems like if I'm not connected to the internet, it goes into demo mode.  Sonar has no idea why.  I closed it and made sure I had a good internet connection and then re-opened Sonar and everything was fine.   That's my scenario.

Mine just did this a minute ago; also Additive Drums tracks would not play...weird.  CCC says I'm on and it's pulling down an update now.  Hmm...will monitor and see what it does.
