Using Sonar X2 Studio (build 306), I want to export my tracks to have another mix engineer work on them.
I figured the purest way to export my mono drum tracks would be to turn off Sonar's FX, select the drum tracks I want to export, File>>Export>>For Source Category I choose tracks, for Channel Format I choose Mono.  I deselect all of the Mix enables.  The tracks export fine, but they are louder than their source tracks.  Much louder.

What is the best way to export tracks without anything added?

When you say the exported tracks are much louder than the source tracks, just wondering how you are listening back to the exported tracks ? Importing them back into Sonar, or listening somewhere else ?

I noticed the difference when I started opening them in Sound Forge.
I imported them back into the project and they are louder.

There must be a reason why they are louder. Can you give more info about your track routing ?
For example, are all the tracks assigned to a similar "master" bus location, or are they all routed directly to your audio interface ?

Are all the tracks originally mono? I was thinking that could it be possible that there's, say, overhead tracks in stereo
which would cause export volume increase to all tracks due to pan law?? Just guessing...
Does everything go through Master Bus? How many decibels approx. is the difference?
