Thank you for your persistence in tracking down a recipe to reproduce.

Thanks Kylotan for your patience as well as your persistence.

I learned quite a few things along the way.

Nearly 6 months on, and it's not even been looked at. And people used to wonder why I refused to file a report for every time I hit a Sonar bug.

Are you sure it still works the way you described? I just:

1. Created a MIDI track.
2. Put five MIDI clips in the track at 10-measure intervals.
3. Placed the Now time toward the beginning, in the middle of the first clip.

Whenever I double-clicked on any of the clips at the 10-measure intervals, leaving the Now time toward the beginning, the clip would open up the PRV and the clip would be centered in the middle of the PRV. Nor do you need to keep the PRV open for this behavior; if you close it, the clip will still open up on the middle of the PRV as it opens.

Isn't this the behavior you want? Is there some other condition needed (other than how I tested it, as described above) to produce the results you describe?

To quote myself...

"Isn't this the behavior you want? Is there some other condition needed (other than how I tested it, as described above) to produce the results you describe?"

I saw your other post and if a Drum Map is selected for the MIDI track, then the PRV does open to the now time.

No, I'm not sure, because I stopped paying for membership when I saw I wasn't getting anything worthwhile out of it.

However, it's a pretty sad situation when nobody is even looking at these bug reports.

While I agree they need to do a better job of documentation, I'd personally rather have them focussed on fixing them, than on tracking them. And to be fair, it has often been stated that sometimes a fix involving a root issue might address more than one bug - so not all bug reports may get closed out.

I don't care about documentation - I care about the fact that people make a big deal of how we should use the bug reporter but nobody is reading the damn things. I'm just glad I didn't waste more of my time trying to report bugs.

Brando, I can think of several bugs that would fall under the categories of Take Lane/Comping improvements, like the issue with nudge placing MIDI notes in other clips. Same with Ripple Editing. A Drum Map overhaul would probably fix multiple bugs too, but Cakewalk is on the record as prioritizing Load Balancing, Ripple Editing, and Take Lane/Comping, presumably because they affect the greatest number of users.
