I have come to the conclusion that there tech staff are not very good and there Is definitely something wrong with Sampletanks Insides.I get a feelig It tries to share other vst's components and gets caught out!!
Ik just keep coming back and say try this or try that
Telling me to swap Asio for All Drivers for my Focusrite asio ones --Not a Chance In hell.
 
Focusrite are Rock Solid.
I am not an expert on the tech side but from my experience with XLN and Sampletank,there may be  ID problems.This could be different versions of the same product scattered accross the drive In different folders
I fired up XLN drum today and after getting rid of Sampletank It started playing up.
I have Mixcraft pro 7 as well and that said It had Id problems and If not, am I running XLN in compatibility mode.
This totally threw me and i had a FFFFFFFFFFFF's fit!!!
 
I uninstalled Mixcraft and re-installed It and all is ok.I like Mixcraft simplicity.
Sonar Is great for me running my Tyros 5 and using sys ex. and vst 3's
 
I have everything running great now minus Sampletank!!!
 
 
All of my problems started when I went away for a week and unplugged all from the wall socket.
When I came back from a great week In Austria I found out eventually my cmos battery died and reset my bios.
That took a while to sort that out.I then contacted Microsoft to help me remotely and they did using a tweak tool.
Everytime i restarted the computer I had to contact Microsoft again and every time It was a different person telling me I will try this my way.Well I had enough of that and I reckon they messed me up.WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT GO TO THOSE CLOWNS WHO PROFESS TO BE SOFTWARE ENGINEERS.They do not care what state they leave you In because you never get the same person twice. It Is better If all fails to re-install Win 10 than go through that.
Then things on the programs side started playing up.
I uninstalled and re-installed and that Is maybe where I went wrong.
So now I have the long job of deduction.
After I get all running top notcho I will make a System Image,
I think IK MUltimedia should be more positive with their help.
Not once have they asked for log files etc.Only photos and video clip which to me only gives you an outsiders visual,not whch counts --The Internal!!

I think that the IK techs are good and we have not heard back because they are working on it. ill think its an install problem. If you install it wrong you cant back track to fix it. When I installed it on my Win 10 system I set it up the right the first time and its working great.  I tested it last night. But that's not the system I want to use with my controller. so.... Waiting. . . :)

I've had ST3 problems too.  Ditto on the install theory.  I'm planning in buying a new computer soon.  I'll install it there and cross my fingers.

Stil no answer from Ik as I think Independance day is a longer weekend holiday.
 
I did reinstall as administrator  - Nobody loves me!!
 
 
I  have uninstalled sampletank ,got rid of the reg values  and duplicate files and made a fresh install following to the letter.
It still crashed In Sonar Platinum and Mixcraft Pro7.
In Pro 7 I had a log in the win 10 Maintainance section.
It had an exception accsess violation"0x00000005"
I looked this up and all sorts of things came up
 
I checked my ram memory,run sfc/scannow,ran Malwarebytes and a Norton deep scan, got rid of duplicates and all looks great with no problems except sampletank 3. All other synths still ok.Lord knows what Is going on!!
The buffers are on 300 and I have I7 with 12 gig ram.
I have now noticed when playing a couple of sounds on sampletank  channel 1  for about 15 seconds I get a buzz and then all cuts off and freeze.
Also notice the midi channel squares turn red  even if the volume is down a bit and not peaking .
I do not know what that means.looked In the manual and cannot find any reference to that.
I have  a Focusrite 6i6 running at 7ms with no problems on other vst;s
I do not know what else to do bar wait for IK Multimedia support to come back to me and I do not Know how long that will be.
This Is very frustrating for me and hope i get a resolve soon or ditch sampletank.

Looks like version 3.6.6 has only been out for around two weeks. It's just buggy...
 

Still no luck with the dang thing
Done everything I can
I notice that the midi box squares at the side of the Instrument loaded goes red before a crash
If yo play normally It takes about a minute to crash.
If you put 5 or six fingers down at once it takes seconds.--just for a stress test!!
This does not happen on any other synth I have

Can you revert back to an older version? I'm running Sampletank 3.35 and it is fairly stable on my system.
