Novation Remote SL61. Haven't seen anyone else post response with this unit. I thought they were pretty common. Got some great features but I do find it kinda sketchy in operation though - maybe that's why no one else has one?

I'm also surprised that no one else mentioned the Remote SL line.

I've been using the ReMote 37 SL for a number of years, but sometimes wish I had the 49 or even the 61 instead.

I've been uming and aghing about getting a control surface for a while but am worried about shelling out and it not playing with X1 / X2.

I wanted the VS700 but the threads here suggets Cake have forgotten about it. The SSL Nucleas seeems a nice alternative http://www.solid-state-logic.com/music/nucleus/  as does the the

If I was certain my wife wouldn't castrate me I'd get a Allen & Heath GSR24M http://www.allen-heath.com/uk/products/pages/productdetails.aspx?CatId=GSSeries&ProductId=GSR24

I'm wondering if Steven Slates Raven MTX will play with Sonar, but I have a suspicion that it would cost me more than just my manhood http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HHiXqcyu2M

I think it's coming down to an Acer 27" TouchScreen, that should keep the bankmanger (Wife) happy, and although I won't have the physical knobs and faders, it still llooks like touch offers some workflow improvments on what I already have. http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/content/model/UM.HT2EE.001

Thanks

MCU Pro + 2 XT's. Does anyone use a Focusrite Control 2802? I'm thinking about one for hardware monitoring and dumping the Mackies. If it had 16 channels, I would have bought it already.

i use Frontier's Alpha Track and Tranzport: working rock solid in W7 64bit with Sonar X2 (and Cubase 7), really great items! But the for the future i would like to see this for Sonar on my ipad: http://www.steinberg.net/de/products/ios_apps/cubase_ic_pro.html

Cheers

Just out of curiosity ...

... and because there's usually not much feedback when posting questions that involve any sort of interaction with a control surface ...

... and because we had a similar thread over in the VS-700 forum to show Cakewalk that there are people who need more than mouse and touch ...

Who is using any control surface with X2?

Which control surface are you using?

I hope to get the post count to over 6000 to show Cake that they need to give control surfaces more attention, especially when introducing new features (ProChannel modules, FX chains, etc.)

BTW, I use mostly VS-700, but occasionally also VS-100, A-PRO 800, sometimes even BCF2000 in MCU mode ...

deanx. Go for the touchscreen. I have the 23" Acer and love it. The 27" was a bit over my budget. I'm sure that the 27" will be an improvement over my 23"
It does many things that a knob and fader surface controller could never do, its more monitor real estate , there's no act BS to deal with and it's only going to get better as Cakewalk improves support.
It also rocks if you do stuff other than use Sonar on your PC.

Bcf2000, bcr2000, contour shuttle pro 2, and a frontier transport. Transport is for remote control.  All running happily under windows 8.

I've had a few... Now I'm just using a Novation Nocturne besides my MIDI controllers.

I'm currently looking into replacing my Axiom with a Novation Impulse.

Would like to have a Mackie. We used to have one + extender in a studio I owned but I left it with my partner when I sold out of it. didn't use it much but all the buttons did what I wanted them to. Some day I'll probably get a new one.
