I thought Sonar was able to see JPEG's now for icons. I could have sworn this was a new feature in one of the past updates. I guess not.

SONAR used to do BMP only, but added PNG, not JPEG.

On a side note, any suggestions on how to find MORE track icon choices?

Not really, but when I create new track icons, I pass them along to Cakewalk. Many of these have been added since Platinum was introduced. Guess I need to do more...

That's a good one!

Though we may clamor for "revolutionary" features, it's often the 1001 small improvement that make day-to-day DAW use more productive.

Good tip! I made a few basic .png icons quickly in Paint. Just solid color backgrounds with Bold type, ie: blue backrounds are all drums, yellow are guitars etc and put them in the template folder. Also some templates for the Aux busses. It adds another quick visual clue especially when it console view.

I know I could just try it, but do images get autoscaled, or do they need to be sized before drag/drop?

Should have made this Friday's Tip of the Week

Another great tip, Craig!
Maybe this could be a "July 4 weekend bonus tip" -
It's definitely worthy of being "stickied"!!
