I recorded a wave file from my Zoom H4n and am having trouble importing it and editing it.  I go file import audio/I can't see anything in the audio track but dots and nothing plays.  When I click on the in the media selector it plays but will not come into the track section.  This should be a no brainer but it is stumping me.

I had this problem before, in my case, the wavs were there just further on in the project.

Yes, when you import broadcast wav files they stick to the time stamp.

Just scroll over and drag them to the left.

The next time you import from your Zoom you can find a check box choice in SONAR to not use the time stamping and the audio will come it at your now time.

best regards,
mike

Thanks for the clarification Mike, that helps here too.

Yeah, the dots indicate there is something in the track. As Mike said, find it and move it.

LANEY
Turn off original timestamp on imported music in the preferences and it cured this for me.

Just wanted to add, Laneys suggestion still works in Sonar Platinum. The button is Preferences - File - Audio Data - Always import Broadcast Waves at their timestamp. Uncheck this box for the imported files to start at bar 1. :-)
