  • Issue with content (via command center) install

Command center installs everything included in Foxboro/Gloucester except:

Cakewalk Loopmasters Content
Cakewalk Sample Magic Content
Cakewalk X-Mix Content

I'm getting the error message:

"You must enter a full path with drive letter, for example:
C:\APP"
In command center settings, I change the path to the correct Cakewalk Content location (as set up in preferences in Splat) but the install fails and Command Center error message states that fact and goes on to say that the content path has been reverted back to it's prior setting. What's more puzzling is that while all of this is going on, CommandCenter manages to copy non-related misc. files from my storage drive and installs those files in and around my Cakewalk Content folder on the correct drive.
This is happening on both of my computers (win7 64bit online and win8.1 64bit offline) so I'm thinking it has something to do with having my content folders on drives other than drive C. Never had a problem with that before.
I've removed CommandCenter program through control panel and reinstalled it..
doing so hasn't changed anything. I've gone into the registry and looked for clues as to why this is happening but.. I can't find anything.
I've un-installed CommandCenter.. then re-installed Splat.. then re-installed CommandCenter to see if that helps.<<.. no change. Same problem.

I have seen a few other reports of this but no one has ever bothered to post what they did to fix it. Please contact tech support and post back when you get the fix.

That would be great.

The only thing I can think of is the installer is having trouble resolving or cannot write to the path defined in ContentDir in HKey_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software

The loops install in path in ContentDir in folders by vendor under "Audio Library\Loops\"
