Hi. I am another user of the VX-64. Has been my go to delay for years. I also like both the Sonitus and NI Replika. I have not used the BT much yet, but it seems nice the little I have played with it.
All the best

Slightly O/T, but the doubler in VX-64 is my go-to and has been for years. Better than the Waves version even.

I often use this on backing / second vocals

And you can always change the bitmap for the VX-64 so it looks different, and pretend it's new

By my count there are at least 7 FX plug-ins with tempo based delay bundled with Platinum. One was added this year. There are quite a few others which meet the criteria set so far. I know to rule out iLok protection. Anything else?

I also like Sonitus and the BT Oilcan Echo (which is a little more "niche" and less generic). The main thing I don't like about Sonitus is that if you want to automate it, you have to use two curves (for the left and right side) even if you've linked both sides with the button in the plug. Since I've gotten H-Delay from Waves it's been my go-to, if you can get it for cheap I would say it's worth it. Easy to use and sounds great.

I also have FabFilter Timeless 2 which is probably the most full featured of them all but it's kind of complicated as a result. I end up not using it as much unless I need something very freaky.

Unfortunately the BT Oilcan is not a tempo delay. Echoes by the same manufacturer, Nomad, includes the Oilcan algorithms along with several other vintage delay types and has tempo sync.

I like FabFilter 2 as well, I like it better on sale. For less than 1/2 the money, TkDelay offers a lot. Both have demos and user friendly copy protection. TkDelay being an example of the best copy protection possible.

Izotope's new Dynamic DDLY is quite good, as is the Overloud VKFX Delay, which works well within Sonar's Pro Channel.

Forgot about VKFX delay. The OP would have that one too, wasn't is given out for free as part of the X2 Content Club? That makes 8 and counting.

BozDigital Imperial Delay.
Waves Abbey Road J37 (tape machine emulator, but also does a good tape delay effect).
D16 Sigmund.
Echoboy.
Audio Damage Dubstation.

And many more.

But they're not necessarily "better" than what comes with Sonar, just different.

Oh oops I forgot about the tempo requirement there. I haven't used the other BlueTubes one. It sounds good though, is included in Sonar and is another tool in the box.
