Hello,
I'm tracking with an Apollo Twin into Sonar. All working well except one thing: I am monitoring a reverb inserted on an aux send in the UAD console. I hear it while tracking and don't want to print it. So far all good. After I do a take, I'd like to hear the reverb I have inserted but I only hear the dry track coming from Sonar.

Is there a way to hear the UAD aux effect on playback w/o having to insert it into the Sonar efx bin? I have the Sonar output set to go to the UAD monitor (stereo).
I just want to hear it back the way it sounds when I'm tracking.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
JG

I was able to do it by returning the vocal track to a virtual output and sent that to the same aux with the reverb.
Thanks

why not create a bus and put reverb in the FX bin (on that bus) and then either:

A-use a "send" routed to the bus.
B-switch the output of your vox tracks to that reverb bus.

what I typically do when recording vocals is create a send on each track.
this is ONLY so I can monitor some delay (I like delay not reverb to track with) to hear in the headphones
but not printed.

of course my delay is a very fast, quick, snappy delay.
most people do use reverb, I started using delay to monitor back in the 80's. so I still do it today.
some habits never die.

the worst habit was when I first started recording and I DID print FX to tape.
oh the wasted tracks.
