It would be really great if the ProChannel itself could access the site and download the presets on its own. They're small, so it wouldn't even be too much of a hit to have PC audition the presets directly from the site.

Where to download and how to run? I tried downloading one to a folder I created where I DL most things that are X1 related. It downloaded ok but when I try to open it I get the Windows file assistant window and it does not know how to open the file. Should I be downloading these presets somewhere in particular? What am I doing wrong?

BTW, the file downloaded in mere seconds, less than 5 sec.

Thanks.

Hi jbow,
These would go in your Cakewalk Content folder (I believe there's subfolder "Prochannel Presets").

Hi Mesh,
Thanks I will take a look and if there isn't a presets folder I will make one. Will I need to run or open them or just download them there? I'm not going to have time until Monday to try anything with it... it is going to be a LONG weekend.

edit> nevermind, that was easy. Thanks again! I downloaded the 1st Exp preset to the PC presets folder and added EXP_Bass_ to the front of the file name so it will be easy to tell which presets are Expanded. I may change it to Bass_EXP_ so that all the types will be together... I'll do the rest on Monday. Thanks again!

You're most welcome!
I haven't tested them out yet, but I think this is a great idea and even better that we can share our own presets.

And just to reiterate, if you have any presets, please share them with us and other Cakewalk users. We hope this will become a sharing community.
