Hi, Is there a way to change tempo without the clips moving?   I want to change the tempo of a song from 50 to 80 and all the clips move and they are now not in sync with each other.
Thanx

Try changing the clips from "relative/MBT" based timing to "absolute/HTSF". Do this e selecting everything in track view, then open the inspector.

I'm not at my computer so I am doing this from memory

Without making any other changes:

- Snap the Now time to 51:01:000 (current tempo + 1 because measures aren't numbered from 0).
- Hit Shift+M to open the Set Measure/Beat At Now dialog.
- Enter measure 81, beat 1, and OK.
- SONAR will automatically make the tempo change, shifting the timeline around existing MIDI and audio clips without altering their absolute playback timing or tempo.

I wish this could be a stickie. This tip has helped me out numerous times. Maybe Craig would give up a Friday TOTW to have this documented for posterity in the Big "Book of All Things SONAR". (Hey - Big B.O.A.T.S - about SONAR.......I'm here all week)
