Frozen is not yet processed. As explained early, folders are not going to be converted. But I have mentioned, we can discuss that.

Or I can just remove the folders from projects that I have archived that I know will be used again. Will test b14 tonight....about 6 hours from now and report back on vst 3s.

Thanks. But I do not understand what you mean by "remove the folders". Converter is just ignoring them, so the result is independent from where the track was, in a folder or not.

Note that before b14, in case a strip was not routed to a bus (f.e. routed to hardware output) but had a send, it was structured under send target with output disabled. That is changed now, such tracks/buses stay at "top" level, independent from sends.

Also "Matrix data track" is no longer shown (probably will return it with check there are some clips on it, I was using matrix as an "independent storage" for not currently used clips in some projects).

And disabled FXes stay disabled. That has irritated me during of of the tests too much

VST3(i) should be converted, with saved presets. I have (shortly) tested what I have in Splat.

Nope.

Alexy, my large project I sent you has a bus called "Jason Guitars" with a VST3 Fabfilter Pro Q-2 on it and it is converted but the EQ curve is not there. It's a flatline. Same for the bus called Drums Final with a VST3 Fabfilter Pro-L. No params set, just default.

There a few more but you get the drift. No settings are retained in VST3 as of b14.

Same here on vst 3s. Most of mine are synths from Arturia. They load as does the MIDI data but the presets are all the synth defaults.

One very odd thing and I have no idea why this is occurring. If I have a cwp that was created in either X1 X2 or X3, but then opened at some point and resaved in Platinum, when I open those cwps in Reaper, non of the tracks are correct. Probably nothing can be done about that. If I open cwps that were created in the versions prior to Platinum and not resaved with Platinum, they load fine.  I'm going to test this more later.

For VST3. I do not have many. CA-2A, RapturePro and 2 Wave plug-ins are happy (in Splat projects). I have found ST3 is not restoring preset, so I still have one my own case to fix.

Thanks for the observation with X1-3 projects are Platinum problem. Can you describe what you mean by "none off the tracks are correct". In respect to plug-ins, clips, routing, all of that or something different?
I can check myself, but will have simpler task if I know what exactly I should check.

PS. There will be not much from me next week...

Alexi I will never even pretend to be the programmer you are, but I am good at troubleshooting so here's what I've determined from what I wrote above.

My audio folder pathway in SONAR under Preferences/File/Audio Data is set to my E Drive (it's 2 terabytes vs my C Drive which is a 240 GB SSD). Until about a year ago I would archive all my old projects as bundles instead of per project audio folders. When I open an old bundle by default it puts the audio in the folder on my E Drive. When I then go save the old bundle as a .cwp  it copies the audio from the E Drive to project audio folder on my C Drive leaving the original audio on the E Drive as well. For some reason those are the projects that will open in Reaper but the audio tracks are jumbled meaning there may be multiples of the same guitar tracks on all the drum tracks, vocals on a keyboard tracks etc. as I stated above.

As a test I reset the audio pathway in Sonar to its default of C drive and opened some older bundles again this time knowing no audio would be going to the E Drive location and being copied over. to the C Drive. After that I opened the new cwp file and Reaper and it played perfectly. It loaded my vst2 plugin-is with settings, routing to Reaper folder tracks/busses was correct and everything lined-up great.

So in my case it has something to do with the audio folder pathways. Maybe something in Sonar is confusing the converter your working on, maybe it's a Windows thing. I'm no programmer so I have no idea why. I think I solved a big issue, at least on my machine or for anyone unpacking old bundles and re-saving them as cwp files.

I hope this helps. You've made excellent progress so far!

Thank you for the investigation. I can imagine what can produce such effect during conversion. CWP has a list of used audio files (names). And the name of audio folder (normally .\Audio). These files are references by index, so 0 - first ,1 - second, 2- third, etc. During all my tests, I had per-project ./Audio and files in it. Also files in CWP was always indexed from 0.
It will not wonder me in case Sonar not really use that "Audio folder" or start indexing from not zero under some conditions. I am away from home this week, so I have hard time to test such thing. Since you have found working procedure, we can just ignore it (may be with warning in the documentation). But we can also find the reason and fix it in a week. I let you to decide.

About vst3. I have uploaded b15. It loads presets correctly for every VST3 I have. I have also downloaded iZotope Vynil in addition. And it restore preset as well. So, I run out of cases I can reproduce myself.
Please do the following:
* create a project in Sonar, with just one audio track. Into FX bin, load VST3 plug-ins which refuse to load preset after conversion. You can put many of them. Do not change anything in inserted VST3, so leave them with default settings.
* create a project in Reaper (DO NOT convert from CWP!). With one audio track. And insert the same VST3s. Also do not change settings.
Upload resulting CWP and RPP somewhere, and let me know the link.
(that way I can check that converter produce from CWP exactly the same settings as Reaper produce itself).

Thank you for testing! I do not really know CWP format. The success and stability of conversion solely depends from the brightness of tests.

I also noticed in b14 that if I have a track with three sends only the first send routing is there.

b15 told me there were 12 conversion errors. I did not have conversion errors in b14.
