Anyone still use hard drive docks (not bays)

I upgraded a lot of drives to larger sizes so I got these WD 320 Blues lying around. I was thinking of using them to store drive images.

Well I do for a start.

Docks are useful when you have a few extra internal drives kicking around that can be used for backup/long-term storage.

I have a USB3 dock that takes SATA drives and 2 3T drives to use in it.

Yes. I have a StarTech.com USB 3 connected docks. Takes SATA drives.
