Few questions:
1. Why is BandLab free
2. Why is CbB free? While I’m happy it will continue I cannot help to feel a bit slighted that others get for free what we paid for for years
3. How does BandLab stay in business if everything is free? Maybe I’m missing the boat bit I see no ads? What pays for the Goo that holds all this together?

It's an age old new business model . . . ridiculously reduce the price to get a market share . . . after you have everyone's attention, turn loose the marketing gurus, and spin it good.

Forget the past and what you paid for, not sure that matters anymore. New owners, new era.
They like FREE, just go with it. The ads will come eventually. Buy them, support it, then you can spend some money on it and feel better about it all.

I agree, just wasn’t sure. I suppose they all just did the BandLab development for fun with no paychecks before they acquired cakewalk. Now they are like that Milwaukee Bucks rookie just waiting and broke.

Hoping they bridge the gap of mobile beat making and CbB, I would love to direct import rather than play out tracks and then import. Maybe they have, I haven’t investigated too much in CbB.
