Take a live-played recording.
Drag the bass drum track to the timeline and generate a tempo track automatically.
That should be jaw-dropping to any other DAW owner.

Except for a Studio One user who can do the same...

I dont know what! I like S1 but there is huge difference betweed Sonar's audio engine and S1 audio engine. I like the way sonar sound's. First I was confused. I loaded a few of my familier synth patches in S1 they all sound different from how they sound in Sonar. Sonar sounds warm and perfect, but S1 sounds thin, everything sounds thin in it. Anyone had similar experience?

I use both Sonar and StudioOne, but for projects involving MIDI I only use Sonar.  S1's MIDI implementation is clunky as hell, especially if you use external hardware synths as S1 has no equivalent to Sonar's Instrument Definitions.

Not exactly. You can't drop an arbitrary audio track and do tempo extraction that way in other DAW's.
There are extra steps to do that. Also in SONAR you can drop multiple clips on the timeline and it will tempo extract all of them.
Try doing that and see how long it takes in other DAW's :)

S1 doesnt have a numerical peak meter in all the faders like Sonar has.

Sorry, yeah you're right. I thought SO1 was doing the same when dragging clips to the tempo track, but upon inspection, it requires opening the clips in melodyne.
