From the docs:
To customize meter colors
1. Go to Edit > Preferences > Customization - Colors.
2. In the Color Category list, select Meters.
3. Choose VU LO Level, VU HI Level, or VU Tick Marks, and select the desired color.

*  Note: Custom meter colors are only available when using non-segmented meters.

Yup, I went there earlier today and the colors for each of the aforementioned items was nowhere near bright green. So then my question becomes WHY are the meters green when these parameters aren't??

But, I'll try that.

You are using "segmented meters". Theses are graphic files. Use Duckbar to change, or... wait for the new editor.
 
InTheMeanTime you can switch to "nonsegmented meters" and change colors in Preferences - Colors - Meters, as mentioned-afore.

Thanks. Perhaps I was confused because the new meters in tungsten don't appear segmented at all.

Hey...guess what? No, go on, guess. I'm not using segmented meters at all. And I still can't make them yellow.

Yeah, splat and all the new changes are confusing me. I'm still on X3 so I will  no longer try to help anyone until "we" (pre-splat users) get our own forum (again). Combining all the versions into one forum is driving "us" into obsolescence.
