I just installed the Helix PC editor and all the audio drivers on my PC, tested the editor & it works fine.  I'm quite happy with the editor because it looks awesome on a 27" screen & is real breeze to navigate.

I wanted to use Helix to record some guitar tracks in Sonar X3 but when I tried scanning the plugins the Sonar plugin scanner stopped when it reached opengl32sw.dll located in the Helix folder.

Since I run a 64 bit OS is that file a necessity? It appears to have 32 as part of the name so I'm assuming it has something to do with 32 bit OS.

I removed that dll from the folder & the next scan was successful but I don't know what that will affect when I attempt to record?

Any comments & help would be appreciated?
Cheers

I tried to add an image of the error but it doesn't look like it will be successful. Sorry, I don't know how to add a photo to my post!

From what I can tell the Line 6 Helix is not a plug-in but a piece of hardware which can act as an audio interface. If this is the case, do not scan the Helix software folder with the SONAR VST scanner. The dlls in that path are not VST plug-ins.

Correct. The Helix editor is for editing the hardware.

I love Helix, sounds awesome...TNM, you might enjoy the Helix Pro Review over on Harmony Central, it have lots of videos and such about the Helix.
