All things seem fine but the faders don't seem to send data, but they receive them from Sonar. If I adjust sonar the faders respond, but if I move the fader, they go back to the position that the Sonar UI has them.
 
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
 
 

You may have aready done so, but the first things I would troubleshoot is your midi I/O settings for the Mackie Control device. It sounds as though it may only be communicating in one direction. Are the transport controls working?  When you start playback using Sonar does the control surface have a playback indicator that responds?

All controls work EXCEPT the fader but they do RECIEVE data and move if you touch the DAW.
 
If I press FLIP I can control the volume with the pan pot.
 
It just seems like the faders aren't "sending" data.
 
NOTE: If I select HUI and move the fader, I see midi lights on the computer, if I select "MACKIE CONTROL" I see no midi data when I move the control on the MCU.
 
My version is 2.1.0
Was this fixed in  2.1.2?

It would seem that the faders are indeed sending data then - which is good news.

I use mackie control for a couple of controllers, but not the MCU,  so I can't help you there Bruce. Hopefully someone else will chime in that does.
