Wondering - can I send the same MIDI track to two different VST synths? Or, do I have to copy the track for the second synth? Would like to have the same MIDI part playing both Garritan Aria and NI Rapture - and would like to play them in live simultaneously so I can musically respond to both patches at the same time.

Thanks, Rob

Hi Rob.
You can have  two separate midi tracks (one for each synth), both set to the same midi input so that you can play/record them simultaneously. Just activate input echo and record on both tracks.

Ahh, that's an approach that never occurred to me. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure if you clone a track that all edits will be global to both tracks. So keep that in mind too.

No probem:)

There is a way to route a single midi track to two synths, but it involves using a third party program (Bome midi translator pro) as a midi patchbay and looping back through vrtual outputs. It is probably unnecessarily convoluted in this case. Great program though if you need complex midi control.
