  • Track folder colors not appearing after restart...

Hi, all. I seem to be having trouble getting track folder track colors to stay visible after restarting Sonar. I select a color for each track folder, save the project, and when I re-open it (whether I had closed just the project or all of Sonar), the colors are no longer visible. If I go to set each color again, simply opening the palette resets the color and it shows up like before, without having to actually re-select each color.

This behavior only occurs when I have track strip colors turned off (so that only the side color band and clip foreground colors are affected). With track strip colors turned on, the colors always show up as expected. Individual track colors behave correctly in either case. It's just the track folders.

Has anybody else experienced this? Is it a bug? Or am I missing something?

Thanks.

Not sure if this is exactly what you are experiencing but when I first open my projects the track folder colors that I set are "dimmed". If I open a track folders color dialog box it will restore the full color to that folder. If I open the color dialog box on any bus, all the folders colors are restored to their full color. This occurs on both systems I have Sonar installed on (desktop and laptop, both with AMD/ATI chipsets). I use Mercury theme, with Tungsten there are no colors on the folders at all until I open/close a color dialog box.

Edited to add that Bus colors and individual tracks are ok when I open a project, it's just the track folders that need a kick start for some reason.

Thanks for the response, Rick. That sounds very similar to my case. It gets pretty tiresome having to refresh the colors every time I re-open a project. I wonder what could be the cause of this behavior...?

And you were right, Rick, opening the color palette on any bus restores all of the track folder colors to their normal state. Thanks for pointing that out. It makes the process of fixing the colors a little quicker. Although it's still a workaround for something that doesn't seem like it should behave the way that it does.

I've tried different video and motherboard chipset drivers with no difference so not sure what the problem is. Because it is happening on multiple systems that have no other similar issues I didn't dig deeper into it.

Glad I could at least help with an easier way to get the colors back!
