I just downloaded and installed Boutique FX Suite Setup 1.0.1.14 which is supposed to contain the updated TH3 Cakewalk Edition.  I chose 64bit for the installation. As with all Sonar updates, I did not have Sonar Platinum running at the time of the update.

After completing this, the version of TH3 Cakewalk Edition remained at 3.1.5.  I was expecting 3.2.2. This was using CCC and using the file that is downloaded from Cakewalk's "My Products" page.

So I repeated the installation of just the Boutique Suite, this time with the /LOG switch, and the log showed that the only TH3 related file that was installed on my system was "C:\ProgramData\Overloud\TH3\cakewalk.of2".  I opened the log file in a text editor and found only one instance of TH3 in the entire file - which showed the placing of the above file

I also verified the version of the TH3-64.vst3 file itself (copy to alternative location, rename it to *.dll, right click, properties | details) was 3.1.5.

Can someone please verify.

Did you install 64bit version on Windows 7 64bit?

Mine didn't update either. I did the rollback on main Sonar, Boutique FX Suite and the Local documentation.  I'm running Windows 7 64bit and 64bit Sonar Platinum.

Hey PromiDi.

Win 7 64 here and I am on 3.2.2. as well. The boutique installer definitely copies a new .dll.

I download and install manually as my studio is offline on its own network, though that shouldn't make any difference.

There must be a particular set of circumstances on certain machines that causes the install to not install the DLL .  I notice one other (s far) has the same issue as I have....

The wield thing is I can find plently on instances of DLL files for other plugins being installed in the installation log, but no instances of any VST3 files.

Hopefully a Baker picks this up..

My logs look like what you described.  and the C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Overloud\TH3-64.vst3 is still dated 4/19/2016

I deleted the CCC downloaded version of the installer and forced it to do it again just in case, but it re-downloaded the same exe and once again didn't put the new TH3 out.

Going to try downloading from the web and installing manually.

Looks like it. Did you try a manual download/install?

Yes, I did try that.

However, I think I have found the solution for those who experience this issue.

In C:\ProgramData\Overloud there is a folder called "TH3".  I renamed this to "TH3.back"

After doing this I reinstalled BoutiqueFXSuiteSetup_1.0.1.14.  This time the install went smoothly.  I ended up with version 3.2.2 of TH3 cakewalk edition.  A new TH3 file gets reinstalled into "C:\ProgramData\Overloud"

Renaming the c:\ProgramData\Overloud\TH3 folder and running the BoutiqueFXSuiteSetup_1.0.1.14 didn't fix mine.  All it did was make a single "cakewalk.of2" file in the new TH3 directory.
