  • Does the Faderport (1, 8, or 16) tilt any decisions towards S1?? (p.2)

Not only are the Faderports cool but also their remote Ipad controllers. Will be very handy. Lots of benefits going with software from a HW maker.

I use the new FaderPort 16 and it is awesome with S1.
It will open EFX and let you edit specific plug-in parameters. Full support of busses, automation (of course) and great channel faders. Love it.

Faderports will work with basically any major DAW. I have one and it works perfectly with Sonar, Reaper and Bitwig (after a script install).

There is an add-on available for the FP 1 in Reaper.  It works VERY well and allows customization.
I asked if there are plans to support the FP8, but got no affirmative answer.

If an FP8 or 16 were an absolute requirement, I would go with SO3.  The way SO handles control mapping is absolutely wonderful, IMO.

Hi,

As I mentioned before, Presonus is both a HW and SW company so they control the drivers and make sure they work and talk properly out of the box on SO. Don't get me wrong - other DAW companies do a great job integrating their SW into the sea of HW out there, but with SO all the buttons on the FP function as  labeled (and I don't need a cheat sheet like I did with my Berhinger BCFs).

Again just my $.02

Take care,
