Indiana wants me, but I can't go back there.

I'm less than 2 hours from Ft. Wayne, but don't have any $$. But I got my 1990 Goldtop (completely gold) Les Paul Classic that I've been wanting for 20 some years, so I guess I don't need $$ anymore. My life's complete - for now.

So is Cakewalk going to have presence this year (besides you of course) after the Big Reveal?

I'll be there all the way through.  I'm doing the studio session with Mark and Carl on Thursday.

They were last year as well, but it was just Gibson people covering it.  I wanted to know if there was anyone from Boston coming.

I'm planning to attend.  Not that anyone knows me, but I'll add that GearFest is a great time, for anyone who hasn't been.  The workshops are informative and inspiring (especially Craig's -- I hope they get you a bigger room this year, since sometimes it's standing-room only).  You get to see and test lots of gear you might not normally see.  And there are some great deals, too -- sometimes better than you can get online on sale (and I'm one of those who waits for the best deals to buy).  And did I mention it's free?  Also, if you have a music-related business, the hotel and travel and food are tax write-offs as business expenses (and the mileage reimbursement is nice -- my company pays the maximum allowed).

It's an 11-hour drive for me, from Arkansas, but it's definitely worth it.  A friend goes with me each year, and we create the most epic road trip soundtrack ever.  And we'll go through Chicago on the way back for some deep-dish pizza...  :)  We split the trip back into 2 days, given the extra driving, which enables us to have BBQ in St. Louis the next day.  Might as well make the most of the trip!

Then when we get home, we're inspired to make more music.

I'm not sure, there's so much going on in Boston right now I'm not sure they can spare anyone...but I do plan to spend some "tent time," like I did last year, answering questions and such about SONAR. Harmony Central will be there doing official show coverage from our Airstream, so I'll be spending time there as well.

BTW I've heard that estimated attendance for GearFest is going to be 10,000 this year...I thought they handled the 8,000 from last year very well, so I think they can handle the extra.

As most people have figured out I'm a huge fan and supporter of GearFest, I find it very inspiring.

I'm really looking forward to it, meeting you, and attending your talks. I will introduce myself as you requested, but you should be able to pick me out of the 10K attendees, since I'm a very good looking gentleman with blonde hair. Okay I'm old, overweight, but I do have blonde hair.
