I was setting up automap for my Novation SL and choices were Sonar x2 and X3 only, no Platinum. Does anyone know if there is an automap solution for Platinum and if this is a cakewalk or a Novation issue?

Did the x3 map not work?
 
Hopefully soneone will chime in with better news, but I have never had much luck with any version of Automap in any version of Sonar and wasted quite a but of time on it.  There are quite a few old threads here discussing issues. I was using an ultranova though which is a few years old. Here's hoping you have more luck with the SL!

I did get automap to work with x3 with some difficulty but it looks like I'll have to do some manual assignments. I haven't looked to see if Novation is mapped within Platinum yet though. I figured that since Platinum wasn't an option during setup that it would't be mapped but I'll check into it. Thanks

I have just checked with my Nocturn, and Automap IS working with Platinum. If you want an "insight", here it is: there is absolutely no difference between X1+, X2, X3 and Platinum from Automap perspective.
 
If you need more concrete answer, please write what you have done so far to make it work (have you inserted Automap into Control Surfaces, or you could not find it there, or it is in brackets after insertion, etc.).

I installed the latest 4.10 version of Automap recently and it was supposed to support Platinum. During installation it only offered X1, X2 and X3 as options. I selected X3 and despite not giving Platinum as an option it seems to be working well with Platinum and my Remote SL.

Thanks guys. I got it to work by mirroring the midi settings in X3 which was working. It really helped to know that automap should the same in Platinum as it does in X3. Much appreciated!
