When I select the VX-64 vocal strip and add it to my back-up vocal bus it instantly peaks the bus and I loose all audio. Almost like the signal going into the bus is too strong. I really like using the VX-64 but can seem to find a solution. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I can't answer your question, but thought I would jump in and say, gday, welcome. I remember similar problems some time back, but for someone to help you, you might want to give them an idea what you are running.
PC specs, OS type, version of SONAR, interface you are using etc. Can't really guide you without it. Cheers. Dave.

Thanks for the welcome. I was able to go onto a similar thread and found a band-aide fix by turning off the EQ portion of the VX-64 and saving as a preset. When I bring up the preset without the EQ option selected, the plugin works fine.  I can use another vocal EQ to get the same result so all is good. I am assuming, by reading some other threads, that this plug-in, and the particular setting I am utilizing, is using an enormous amount of system resources. I am Looking to expand the RAM (only has 12 gig now) on my system to see if that works in the future .

It does use some resources. I've used it a lot in the past and not had the same problem you have though. Curious though. How have you got 12g ram configured?

Which version of SONAR are you using? I think the denormaization problem you describe was fixed in SONAR 2015, but I don't remember which update it was.

I am having the same problem. Turning off Tube Equalizer works.  I notice we both use Focusrite.  I wonder if it has anything to do with MixControl (Focustrite) because I notice that peaks too.

Edit:  Spoke too soon.  It even happen when not using my Focurite.  Also, turning the delay on and off causes severe/loud pops.
