I can't uninstall the Sonar Artist demo. It is not listed in my programs to uninstall. Can't find any info in Command Center on this. Anybody have any idea how to do this?

I have not worked with the demos but the regular connected products have an uninstall option on the context menu displayed when right-clicking on the item in the Command Center. The instructions are part of the clean install process described here http://www.cakewalk.com/S...n-Install-Instructions

For future reference, a system restore point prior to installations is a better route, as most software doesn't uninstall cleanly. In cases where software has identical files, an uninstall of the newer can potentially render the older inoperable.

And a system restore is what I had to do, as uninstalling rendered my Dim Pro, TTS-1, Bandstand and Vienna Ensemble inoperable. Fortunately, I had a restore point just before I installed the demo. Everything back to normal now except TTS-1, which won't insert and "may not be installed correctly." I'm trying to decide if it's worth reinstalling. I only use it for one thing, and its' not the most stable plug-in anyway, being a DXI. Oh well, live and learn.

The TTS-1 is embedded into the SONAR program installer (basic program). You *should* be able to simply reinstall the basic program from the version you were on/restored to.

Quick edit: Even the most recent patch should suffice. I believe all patches included the TTS-1/base program.

Another weird thing: even after reinstalling everything but TTS-1, I thought everything was back to normal with my Sonar 8.5. But it sounds weird now. My project just doesn't sound the same, and I have no clue why. Oh well, another reason to double-down on my Reaper studies. I thought I would finish my current project in Sonar, then do the next one in Reaper, which I have been learning. Now, it looks like it will just be Reaper from here on in. I didn't like the GUI of New Sonar anyway. Too busy, cluttered and confusing. I never did get why they had to make such a drastic change. I know several thousand or more Sonar users will disagree. But like Yogi, I came to a fork in the road, and I took it...
