I use Melodyne Studio 4 and it works great in S1. Multi-blob editing, tempo mapping, etc. It's all there and all good. 
I am using a Fader Port 16 now with S1 and it is awesome. I am also looking at the Series III console. The hardware/software integration keeps getting better and better. I am loving using a board again!
 
All this stuff is well covered in videos. There are hundreds of them out there to see.
 
I don't use vintage or legacy synths anymore so I don't need SysEx or libraries. 
For normal midi editing, the editor works great. I miss the midi filters you can use with Sonar and I miss Sonar's mixer snapshot. S1 has scenes you can save. You can save versions of your song all day long without duplicating source wave files. 
There is a lot to learn with S1 but it is really clean and straight forward. There really is a lot to like about it. 
 

I see big sales coming for studio one ...i think we should make a petition to encourage certain features that we found must be in studio in futur update ...

For my part the workflow and quality of the engine is key ...

1) screensets
2)templates
3)icons
4)plugin manager / full plugin layout
5) plugin renaming (permanent option)
6)ability to switch PDC and Fx off ( don t know if it s here or not )
7)oversampling is a must ...after trying it on serious work ...this lack of feature will impact a lot my use of certain plugins from softube to overloud ect ...
8)X ray

Ect..


I need to try deeper the edition with comping ...automation ect ...

I do find the last update more optimised when it comes to plugin dsp usage but still fell sonar more solid on heavy srssions

Question for S1 users: anybody using the full Melodyne Editor with it? I really liked how smoothly it integrated into SONAR.

When I was using S1Pro a lot (before v3.5) I used the full Melodyne editor and found it as easy as in Sonar and certainly as well integrated. I didn't install the essential version that came with S1Pro but it still picked up and used my full version.

That said, Groove3 is a really good value on BF pricing. I had some of their virtual cash left over, and got another year for less than $65. They cover an awful lot of what I use.

I am demo-ing studio one. 2 probs so far . .
 
1. When I add an effects plugin to a track, the plugin window pops up, stays huge, and I can't resize the plugin window, nor can I move the plugin window at all. It just floats frozen and huge over the main song mixer page of s1. I've  tried dmg equilibrium and adaptiverb, same deal.  
 
2. Loading the Sylenth instrument caused a freeze crash. Multiple times.
 
 
I soldier on . . . If you have s1 demo business, please share!

FFrozen plugin windows can be freed: menus,   view/windows/reset windows.
