Unfortunately the result is destructive.
Should I need to extend a clip a bit later - no can do.
There's no audio anymore beyond the clip boundaries.
What you're doing is already fairly 'destructive' as in 'not easily reversed' once you close the project and lose the Undo history. If you're not already working with a copy of the track or of the whole project, you should be.
Other options for recovering from Apply Trimming:
- Deselect the first clip before Apply Trimming since it isn't affected by the bug, and you can always use that to recover the entire clip by rolling it back out.
- Re-import the raw audio file from the audio folder as a new clip.
