  • How do we do audio loop recording?

I set up a 1 bar loop. I set the audio track to record and pressed the take lanes button at the bottom left of the track. I stood in front of a mic and clapped on 2 and 4. It ended up recording about 12 tracks of claps. I'd like to be able to have them all play at the same time. I can't get that to work.

It would be nice to copy all of those 1 bar  recordings to regular audio tracks so I'd have control over mixing them and adjusting them. How can this be done? I'm stumped at this point

To record layered takes, leaving them all audible, right-click the Record button to get recording mode preferences, and choose 'Sound on Sound'. To get them into separate tracks in the first place, click the 'Store Takes in Separate Tracks' radio button under Loop Recording.

Right click on the  record button in the the transport control and change the recrding mode to 'sound on sound' and you will hear all takes.

I am not in the studio at the moment, but IIRC under options  there is a check box somewhere for loop recording to place each take on its own track. Someone else may chime in with details or correction:)

EDIT: Brundlefly beat me to it whilst typing:)
