I'm 99.9999999% certain I would.

<edit> Not implying deep pockets, just if you were not strapped for cash.
<edit> And please no bashing. No matter the answer, please kindly state why.

With money no option, I would do whatever I want, with whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted to
That goes for the above mentioned as well

Depends.....
Easy to say yes, but in reality - with infinitely deep pockets, I would likely have done something stupid like bought into Pro Tools and a bunch of hardware - etc. The question is kind of like - if you had all the money in the world, would you still drive that 2009 4 Cylinder Ford Escape? Uh....
If the question assumes that I had the same comfort and familiarity with SONAR as I do today, when making the purchase decision - then yes I would absolutely buy SONAR again. It's been a great choice, and while I still want a lot of features and workflow enhancements to be included - I don't regret the purchase for a second.

Sorry,

I was not meaning to imply infinite deep pockets. I'm just meaning if you were not strapped for cash.

And SONAR for me is def at least a 2016 BMW i8.

That's a valid question and I am going to assume the question isn't rhetorical and you want others' opinions.  In my case I wish I had moved to Cubase earlier instead of opting for the 2015-16 membership upgrade from X3 (I've been using Sonar since v6 or 7 and upgrading regularly).   That's not to say that I don't like Sonar, just that Cubase fits my needs so much better. To me Cubase has a cleaner, more functional interface and the MIDI and Score editors are working well for me. Lastly, Sonar's monthly distribution, which combines new features with bug fixes, didn't suit me; too disruptive.

Considering the $$;  if I were to stay with Sonar and obtain a lifetime membership it would have cost me $350 over the past year.  Of course I did pay around $200 more than this to get Cubase so this approach isn't for everyone. Even though there is a "lifetime membership" on offer with Sonar it is more than likely that I would continue to pay $50-$200 per year to pay for some "additional items" which might be core to my particular workflow.  I suspect that from here on in there will be little difference in cost whether I have Sonar or Cubase.

Cheers.

Yes I do, in either direction. It was not a rhetorical question.
