Hi All,

I was getting ready to work with a new mixer who was on Pro Tools. He wanted me to send him midi files so we could work on Addictive drums. So I sent him OMF files. But he said he couldn't use them. (which sounds kind of weird.)

So anyways ... he said send me the exported midi clip. Except ... I couldn't get the option highlighted to exported the MIDI Groove Clip. He didn't want the exported audio either.

What gives? Just kind of wondering for the future situation ... if you know what I mean.

I'm on Producer X3

Thanks in advance.

To export multiple tracks with relative timing preserved, use File > Save As, and change the file type to MIDI Type 1. To export a single clip, you can drag-drop it directly from the project to your file system.

I believe the groove clip has to be bounced to clips before it can be exported.

Thanks for the replies. I did try the Midi 1 export and he said he could not import that into pro tools either. I also tried saving as a .MID but it captured everything in the song. I wasn't able to isolate separate tracks for export there.

Greg -- I did the bounce to clip but the option was still not there.

Is this an anomaly in this version of Sonar?
