Hello,
I am using EZdrummer 2 with Sonar X2, and so far everything is working properly. However, I am using an M-audio Auxium 25 MIDI controller and I do not have enough keys to play all the drums since they seemed to be mapped however the VST feels like mapping them. Snare and Bass drums are not where I want them to be on the keys.. and from what I understand, there is no way to remap (or learn) as other MIDI drum programs allow..such as NI Battery 3.

Is there a way to do this within X2 since the VST will not allow it? I have gone into the drum map manager and did not see a way to successfully do this.. which is why I'm here asking for help :)

Thank you,

Hopefully someone will chime in, but I am pretty sure you can. I know you can with Superior Drummer, which is what I have. I go about drum a different way, so unfortunately, without sitting at my DAW at home I can't go off the top of my head...

Essentially a drum map says when I press midi note #56 on my keyboard translate that to midi note #35.

The drum map manager is klunky but it can do the job once learn how to manage a map.

I saw some tutorial videos on youtube, but they just showed you how to set up a drum map, not how to reassign. For example.. Key (A3) on my keyboard to (B2) since A3 is a pad which wouldn't work too well as a snare drum as I like the velocity to be a solid 127. Having only a 25 key interface makes stuff like this necessary.

Very disappointed that EZ drummer doesn't allow this from within their VST like other Drum synths do.

Inside of the F section at the left there are In Note and Out N... columns (Out N... = Out Note since the column is sized to smal).

That is how you reassign.

That is one reason SD2 is SUPERIOR to EZdrummer ...but just as some info there is a 30% off for SD2 at Toontrack. Might be worth the upgrade...check it out...   http://www.toontrack.com/superior-line/
