I've submitted requests for this for a long time. But it's really obvious in the latest update. While the playlist actually works quite well, it has a visual problem. The currently playing song doesn't show the scrolling timeline, and now the title of the song on the actual song (not in the playlist) is greyed out. It's interesting to watch as it's loading the following song. You will see the upcoming song load with the scrolling line visible and it's name highlighted, then the actual playing song pops back on top with the greyed out title and no scrolling timeline. If I push "Ctrl+Tab" the focus will return to the playing song. If the bakers would just insert a "Ctrl+Tab" command into the code that loads the following song, all would be well.

On a side note. If you use a stock template for your playlist, it seems to work fine, but if you make a few changes to it, the problem surfaces.

Hi Jcody.

I too have noticed the focus quirks and missing now time marker. As you say, the issue has been around for a while. It would be great if the playlist got a little attention some time soon,

By using a stock playlist template, do you mean creating an empty playlist?

No, the project templates. When working with tech, they couldn't see the problem. Then I tried using the stock template that ships with Sonar. Not the one that I customized for my use, and it worked like it should. I thought I had a bad template so I started from scratch. Then as soon as I started changing outputs etc to make it fit my workflow I got the wonky behavior from the playlist again. This was a few versions back this year. Then with the june update I noticed that the name on the project was greyed out as well on the currently playing song on the playlist.

Ah - I understand.  I thought it may have been a workaround, but leaving the actual project template untouched is going to be a bit awkward:)
