I think his avatar is very ugly. This to prove that it is all a matter of taste.

sonarman1My meters are green too. Why do some users have grey meters. Is there an option to change that. I love the green meters though. Would never want to change it. But just wondering why some have it grey.

Audio Meter customization in Preferences will change that (no segmented meters)

Apart from perhaps a slight toning-down of the orange/gold, I think it's nigh-on perfect.

Thank You Cake--For this old guy-Everything just seems much, much clearer-almost akin to a mix where everything sits well and can be heard. I see better than I have in a while. I am not so much talking colors-but the default-even the orange -everything seems much sharper - more defined. I guess maybe this only helps old guys like me but I love it. Lots of definition. Just my 2 cents

I just updated my S-Plat to 2016.05 and am very impressed. "Tungsten" looks awesome. I love it.
 
Some color changes could be made with external applications. Its a tedious process though. I just tried one change to modify the meter color from black to a sort of dark maroon shade in the console view. Here's how it looks :
