First of all i want to congratulate Cake for the move and the direction they're taking , as you guyz know or not , i'm sometime very critical , because i simply love and think this is the best daw around (and i have others)

One futur dev annoucement that caught my attention is the plugin balancing ...i'm really pleased about that but i have a question for the bakers ....

Basically to keep compatibilty with X1 that is my rescue daw in case of platnum big issues (after upadte or some) , i forced myself to never use VST3 versions of plugins ....the question is , does this optimisiation will be done using vst 3 features (like their ability to no process until signal is here for exemple ) or this will be done for VST 2.4 at the same level ... basically , will it be format dependant ?

Thks , it's very important for me to anticipate ...

Hi Zo,

The load balancing is in the audio engine so its independent of plugin formats. It will apply to any plugins (VST/DX) that reside in track or bus effects bins or the prochannel.
