And I have been using Cakewalk since it was on a DOS floppy disk from a company called Twelve Tone. In fact, I still have a cap with Twelve Tone for the emblem. 
I don't have a cap, but I started with Cakewalk 3.0. At that time it was a MIDI sequencer; prior to that I was using a sequencer that ran in the Roland S 550. I still have a Tascam MTS-30 MIDI Tape Synchronizer, although it has a lot of dust on it now
Needless to say, this seems like a no-brainer to me as well.
