Cakewalk hasn't let me down since I bought X1 five years ago and every upgrade since. I have no reason to believe that the lifetime upgrades is a scam, money grab or anything other than a great deal. Thanks Bakers

Anybody that's low on funds for this deal should immediately block cclarry's posts and stay away from the Deals forum.

Even that doesn't work me.  I get newsletters from many developers.  Expanding my VSL collection took precedent. I'm sure Cake will offer this again.

I've already picked up my Life Time version.  Can you please work on an After Life model.  I'm taking my LP with me and will need this software.

Well I bought mine with PayPal which gives me 6 months interest free for purchases over $99 bucks....so I've got six months to pay $199...okay so $35 bucks a month, I can do that.

All other companies I deal with support their products with free service releases until the next big major release of the software comes out and even then continue for many years to provide service releases for the older products too. Does Cakewalk now make you pay for these and are they withdrawing the support of service releases that fix the bugs to their customers who do not pay for it after a year?

Lifetime upgrades to what? That is the caveat and what precisely does it mean, does it mean when Sonar's newest product is created I will receive it free, or is it merely that I am paying for service releases that fix the bugs for the lifetime of my currently owned product. When cakewalk changes it's flagship product like they did from cakewalk pro to sonar will that lifetime upgrade apply will I get that new other named product for free? Cakewalk doesn't make this clear.

Now we're back on track. There are 12 other recent threads that answer these questions ad nauseam.

Are you using MS Windows without any other software installed?
May be as "Roland M" you can ask "Roland Corp." for VS drivers update, till they release VS-800?
If you are using Waves plug-ins, you can check your account for free upgrade plan...
You can also ask cclarry about free updates from IK till they have released ST3.

Answers on other questions you can get from (too) many other threads, some people there have a Crystal Ball, so they can easily predict the future.

Douche just came to mind.  Don't know why; strange word to slam into my brain after such an awesome day... made enough to spring for vocal synth AND lifetime upgrades... so I'm feeling GREAT... but then I read Roland's blather.... those who plowed before me said it well... ReBlathering the blather strewn throughout this forum by other "D"s... why???  You feel special? You want to be in that crowd?   Really?  You DO fall into the category I reserve for climate change deniers... not a good place within humanity....

OOOOOPS... I stray from my new serenity enhancer.... the "block!" Gosh, I must have blocked a dozen this week! FWIW, I haven't read a post from anyone I've blocked since doing the deed... and it feels wonderful!
