I insert a TTS-1. then I create a MIDI track, point it to the TTS-1 and give it MIDI Channel 1 in Track Inspector. I leave the Part 1 patch at Piano. I create another MIDI track, and assign it to TTS-1 and MIDI Channel 2. I make the patch for part 2 of the TTS-1.... symphonic strings.... or whatever. Then in Piano Roll I pick the track that matches the TTS-1 part 2...and get Piano, not symphonic strings. So now I am confused. Thanks for any help i will ad that i tried using the actual tts-1 track and it made no noise...... why does the forum make all my input lose its sentences and paragraphs?

the TTS synth is a cool one.  You need to be sure the channel numbers are consistent all the way through.....

I did a tutorial on my web page.   http://www.herbhartley.co...edited_slimmer_005.htm  go down to Advanced TTS set up and operation and do it step by step.

I explain how to set TTS up to run 3 different instruments at the same time. It will do 16 at the same time.

Be sure to set the channel, bank and patch in the midi track inspector.  I think the mistake many people make is to set the bank/patch in TTS. It needs to be set in Cake's midi track and be sure the midi channel is also set in cake.

TTS should take it from there.  Send all the midi track outputs to the same (one) instance of TTS and you should be set to go.

Memory slowly returns. I was once very good at TTS-1 and quite angry about it...:D It's been a while, but I will read your tute and refresh myself. Thank you. It's such a useful little toolbox...sort of a screwdriver kit...and so small on resources.

It is all coming together, with a few hitches. I could not find the TTS stuff for a bit, but I have it now. Thanks for kick-starting me.

Nope I give up.I just cannot get the thing to behave reliably. AND I accidentally deleted a track of rather tricky timed stuff that I had sweated over! TTS-1 is definitely off my favourites list
