Nice.  I do like my G3X for a bit of downstairs jamming and noodling, this is surely its evolutionary descendant.

The fact that this one is "update-able" also is a huge bonus...

distortions are ok...amp sims ok.  Very easy to 
set up and use...and I haven't even connected it
to the PC yet...

amp sims ok - could you compare the amp sims to any sw amp sims? Along the lines of Guitar Rig 5, Th 2? Better or worse than these?
 

I would say on par or better...they're decent.  Not spectacular,
but decent, and lots of control...

Thanks. I have an old 9030 that I liked back in the day, but haven't tried any of their stuff since.

I've been running the Amp Sims through my Marshall JCM2000 TSL 100
with 1960AV 4 x 12 Cabinet, on the clean channel, and have to say they
sound quite nice.  Have to be sparing with the Reverb, as the sound seems to 
get "very" drenched, even with the mix knob almost all the way down...but still
can be dialed in.

The acoustic sim is quite nice.  The built in drum machine, howbeit very limited,
also sounds nice...the effects are very decent, and very adjustable.

For the money it's a steal....
