Because installing a third party, unofficial add-on not supported by Cakewalk to modify Sonar is very different to using a factory feature.

But they should at least give it a try if a dark theme is so important (maybe they have tried already?). I use many third-party plugins (including free ones) that aren't really "supported" by CW. Some of them don't work perfectly in SONAR, but at least I give them a try.

You are right - and if I cared enough about the colours I certainly would have given it a try:)  I can understand peoples caution though. Most use vst's that are third  party, but that is what vst is designed for. Changing aspects of the program/code that at that stage were not designed to be changed naturally makes people more cautious. No one wants to add unnecessary variables that may result in instability.

On the other hand, now I can change the colours with a single selection without any risk.

When you read comments from the bakers telling us how much work it is to build a theme, it just shows how much work Panu did to give us Duckbar. And he did it without a pay check in his "spare" time. It makes me wonder.

When people have free time, some people are jogging, some are playing football, some are watching TV, etc. Most of them are doing so "for free". And so there are people which play music, create mods or programs during free time. I have heard about one person who repair bikes almost for nothing while he is employed professor. There are many ways to "kill time" which can look confusing for other

I downloaded Duckbar again a couple days ago, and the theme portion seems to simply replace the PNG references, so that part would not interfere with the application, just change its appearance. The other portions I could not speak to (I am not running Duckbar as an overlay).

Huge +1 to the amount of work Panu went to for Duckbar, since even the seek-and-destroy required for the png files alone is not intuitive. The work he has done is anything but trivial.

If Cakewalk went as far as to make the UI graphics an easily accessible and mapped "Resource" folder, every SONAR user could easily tweak its contents via batch surgical replacement, which could even leverage the community folks who like to do 3D graphics... what a novel concept... slap "highly innovative" on it, and it might get some real attention

Please help - I don't know when this started happening but Command Center is not showing the latest updates anymore. It thinks the latest version is "Manchester Update 1" and that I am on the latest version. I've downloaded and installed the latest version of Command Center (1.1.5.0) but this did not fix the problem.

Thanks...

Hi. Have you tried to logout and back in again to CCC? It could be worth a try.
All the best.

My next door neighbour when I was young was a senior engineer for Kia cars. He used to prefer spending his free time helping me fix my old car than be with the in laws

I had problems with my focusrite(56liquid), too after installing the update. i installed the older saffire driver(3.4) instead of the last one(3.7). Now everything works
