  • Big problem-had to revert back to 2016-04

S.L.I.P.
I've been collaborating on a tune for the last few months over various upgrades, and everything has been fine. My friend sent me some tracks, and I've cut them up, and groove clipped them. I installed 2016-05, and when I play back the track some of the groove clips play double time. I have since reverted back, and everything is playing fine. I'm not sure what is up. Don't have the time to figure it out. Going to stick to 2016-04 until I finish the song.

I'm having problems with my focusrite since the upgrade. I'd like to know how to go back to the old update.

I always set a restore point before installing anything. Check system restore, there might be a restore point that the system made.

you guys would have much better results  by filling out your sigs and providing a little bit more info.
Focusrite ? platform ? soundcard?

chuckbaby, with all due respect, I'm not interested in a solution, because the solution was going back to a previous version of Sonar. So, no, I'm not going to list my specs, because I only have time to make music, not to figure out why the newest version of Sonar is messing up my project. Again, thank you for your interest.

Specs in Sigs help everyone out s.l.i.p.  If someone else has the same issue, it makes it much easier to join the dots should there be any common contributing factors, even if you don't want to spend time troubleshooting yourself. Kind of how user forums work:)

styxer,
Right click "SONAR Platinum" in the CCC, you'll see the option to roll back in the drop down.
SONAR_Platinum_Setup_22.4.0.27 should be in your "Command Center\Downloads" folder as well.

When SONAR (or Acid Pro, for that matter) guesses loop length, it will sometimes do double or half time. The tipoff is that the number of beats is not correct, which requires editing the Beats field in the LCW. Depending on the loop, you will run into this problem at some point in the future (if you haven't already, then consider yourself lucky ).

This version of SONAR fixed a bug in the Loop Construction window; it now allows the cursor in the LCW to track loops properly when you're zoomed in to where you can't see the entire loop in the window. This may make the phenomenon described above more likely, however I have not experienced problems with loop playback using 2016.05. What happens above comes into play only when creating a Groove Clip. Entering the correct number of beats fixes it.
